Dr Dima Rusho
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Social Sciences, Monash University, Australia. My research examines the barriers and inequities faced by marginalised groups in accessing institutional services and support, focusing on the justice system and healthcare.
In the justice system, I investigate language and communication barriers affecting access to justice for Indigenous Australians in remote communities. In healthcare, I explore the political and socioeconomic factors that impact access to health services for people in Southeast Asia living with chronic conditions, such as dementia.
My work across these spheres is united by a commitment to addressing access inequalities as a critical social justice issue.
